Soccer goals. What dimensions should they have?

Goal dimensions in professional soccer competitions

The proper dimensions were determined by the FIFA Executive Committee in March 2008. The officially established dimensions of a professional soccer goal should be 7.32 m x 2.44 m, while assuming that the field is 105 m long and 68 m wide.

By way of trivia, it is worth mentioning that according to the same guidelines, the penalty area should be set at 16.5 meters long and 40.32 meters wide, and the circle in the middle of the field must have a radius of 9.15 meters.

In fact, there are still very few teams that can afford to buy the biggest goal. And it's by no means a matter of finances, but rather the inability to use such a feature in practice. Such a large goal works well only on large playing fields. This is reflected in the offer of stores. The range of smaller goals is definitely more extensive.

Training goals

On smaller facilities (and there are definitely more of these in Poland), such as Orliki, smaller goals will work well. Training goals measuring 5 x 2 m will do very well for smaller sports games, children's and youth competitions and soccer training.

Professional sports stores offer portable models in this regard, made of aluminum tubes. They can also be easily set up in covered sports halls and gymnasiums, making them more versatile.

Of course, there are also more traditional solutions, namely steel goals with steel arches.

Where to buy a professional sports goal?

The above-described structures are best bought in proven, specialized sports stores, such as Sport Plus. In such places you not only have a chance to buy equipment at an attractive price, but you can also choose from a varied assortment and count on professional customer service. Don't know what model of soccer goal to choose? Ask a professional in our store for advice.
