1 Durable construction

- The suspended structure of basketball backboards is based on modern engineering solutions. The key element of this structure is hollow steel profiles, which form the basis of the support system. Steel, as a construction material, is characterized by excellent mechanical properties - high tensile strength, compression strength and resistance to deformation. The choice of closed profiles is not accidental - their geometric form increases the rigidity of the entire structure, minimizing the risk of deformation under the influence of dynamic loads that may occur during intense sports games.
- Steel profiles are protected from corrosion, which is crucial in the environment of indoor sports halls, where humidity and changing conditions can lead to material degradation. The use of appropriate protective coatings, such as hot-dip galvanizing or powder coating, further enhances the structure's resistance to external factors, extending its lifespan and maintaining its aesthetic appearance for a long time.

- Another important aspect is the ability to precisely adjust the geometry of the structure to the architectural conditions of the sports hall. This allows the suspended system not only to fit perfectly into the given space, but also to minimize the loads transferred to the supporting structure of the hall. This allows for long-term operation without the risk of damage or excessive overloading that could affect the hall structure.

2 Electric drive and control

- Electric drive is a key component of modern suspended basketball structures, allowing precise control of the height of the backboard and its trouble-free raising and lowering. It uses a 410W, 230V electric motor, while minimizing energy consumption, which is important in sports halls where baskets must be frequently adjusted depending on the type of games or group of users. The mechanism based on an electric motor allows full control over the movement of the board.
- This motor is integrated with a cable mechanism that uses steel cables wound on a drum. They are not only durable, but also resistant to stretching, which ensures long-lasting and reliable operation of the system. These cables transfer the load from the board to the ceiling structure, allowing it to be raised and lowered safely, even with the large size and weight of the board (250 to 350 kg as standard). In addition, the steel drum on which the cables wind is precisely designed to prevent them from tangling or winding unevenly, which could affect the smooth operation of the system.
- The board's height adjustment mechanism allows the board to be adjusted to different levels of play - from the standard rim height of 3.05 meters, all the way up to a height of 2.6 meters, which is often required in youth games or during training. The adjustment mechanism is not only precise, but also intuitive to use, making it easy to use for professional operators as well as coaches or amateur users. Precise height adjustment is performed by a motor that responds to control from a control box or wireless remote control. This remote control greatly simplifies the adjustment process, eliminating the need to physically interfere with the mechanism, which is a major convenience in everyday use.
- The wireless remote control allows the user to be fully mobile, enabling the basket to be controlled from anywhere in the arena. This solution works well in large sports facilities, where the distance between the control point and the basket structure can be significant. The remotes are ergonomically designed, with intuitive button layouts that allow the user to quickly adjust the parameters of the board without having to learn how to operate it for a long time. Depending on the model, it is also possible to design several heights, which allows automatic switching between predefined board positions - for example, from a height for youth games to a height for professional matches.
- Safety is another key aspect of the electric drive system. The motor is equipped with overload systems that automatically shut down the mechanism if there is too much resistance, preventing damage to both the backboard and the structure itself. In addition, emergency systems ensure that the array can be lowered manually in the event of a power failure. The safeguards used ensure that even in harsh operating conditions the mechanism will operate smoothly and safely.

3 Adaptation to the hall

- Suspended structures are designed for maximum installation flexibility, which allows them to be adapted to the various infrastructural conditions of the sports hall. As standard, they are mounted on a footing support structure, which provides solid and secure support for the entire system, but the key is to adapt each solution to the specific parameters of the facility.
- These structures are particularly recommended for sports halls over 36 meters in length, where the space above the field is large enough to allow full functionality of the suspended system. The height of the bottom surface of the ceiling can be up to 10 meters, which is crucial for optimal operation of the mechanism for raising and lowering the board and its height adjustment.
- Individual adjustment of the geometry of the structure to the conditions of the hall is extremely important. In halls of greater length, it is recommended to install a structure that folds towards the outside of the court, which saves space in the playing area and facilitates its organization. On the other hand, in smaller halls (less than 36 meters in length) folding structures are designed in the direction of the pitch, which ensures their functionality in limited space.
- A key aspect of the assembly is a careful analysis and consideration of the existing roof structure or other supporting elements of the hall. Detailed technical documentation is required, including drawings of the girder, floor plans of the hall and other relevant information on the supporting structures. This makes it possible to design a structure that will fit perfectly into the specifics of the hall, ensuring the stability and safety of the entire system
- In addition, to fully optimize the solution, it is possible to take into account such elements as the type of materials used in the load-bearing structure, roof angles, the distribution of ceilings and support beams, as well as potential obstacles such as lighting, ventilation systems or other technical installations. All this means that each suspended structure is designed with the specific requirements and needs of a particular sports hall in mind, which guarantees both durability and also maximum functionality.
