Helpful information about beams and covers in a nutshell

1 Functionality and application of covers and beams

Beams for long jump and triple jump with slat and plasticine
- They are a key component of sports infrastructure, necessary for both professional and amateur training and competition. The beams are designed to provide optimal conditions for jumping, which translates into improved technique and performance of athletes.
- The main use of the beams is to mark the place of rebound. Each beam is equipped with a strip precisely fixed in a specially prepared slot on the surface of the beam.
- Beams for long jump and triple jump are also an important training tool. The use of the beam in training allows athletes to develop their jumping technique, paying attention to the precision of the rebound, the length of the jump and body control during flight and landing. The beams can be set at different distances from the sandbox, allowing training to be tailored to the athletes' individual needs and skills. This allows athletes to gradually increase the difficulty level of their training, which systematically improves athletes' performance.
Beam box covers
- They perform an extremely important function in maintaining the safety and functionality of the treadmill, especially in areas where the beams are not constantly in use. The beam boxes in which the beams are mounted must be protected to avoid accidental damage and contamination.
- The main function of the covers is to protect the openings in the raceway. When the beams are not in use, the lids close the beam boxes, preventing sand, leaves, trash and other debris from falling into them, which could affect the functionality of the boxes. This safety feature is key to keeping the treadmill in excellent condition, which is especially important during heavy use at competitions and training sessions.
- Beam box lids are also important for athlete safety. Holes in the treadmill can be a potential hazard if left unprotected. Our covers keep the treadmill surface smooth and uniform, minimizing the risk of tripping and injury.
- Ergonomic handles installed in the covers allow for easy lifting and installation. This solution is particularly important when frequently changing the configuration of the treadmill depending on the type of competition or training.

2 Characteristics of covers and beams

Beam box covers
- Carefully designed and made of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet, the covers provide exceptional durability and corrosion resistance. Hot-dip galvanizing is a process in which steel is coated with a thin layer of zinc by immersion in molten zinc. This protects the covers from moisture, salt and other atmospheric agents, significantly extending their life and minimizing the need for maintenance.
- The smooth surface of the covers makes it possible to apply the tartan, which is extremely important for maintaining the consistency and aesthetics of the treadmill. Tartan is used in sports surfaces for its shock-absorbing and anti-slip properties, which contributes to the safety of athletes. Thus, even when the beams are not in use, the covers provide a consistent and safe running surface.
- The beam box lids also serve a protective function, protecting the running holes from debris such as sand, leaves or trash, which can affect the quality and safety of jumps. In addition, they protect the holes from mechanical damage, which is key to keeping the sports infrastructure in excellent condition.
- Equipped with ergonomic handles, our covers are easy to lift and install, making them much easier to use on a daily basis. These handles are designed to allow safe and comfortable handling of the cover, minimizing the risk of injury and damage during installation and removal.
Long jump and triple jump beams with slat and plasticine
- Our long jump and triple jump beams are made of plywood, which provides them with high strength and stability. Laminated wood is a material consisting of layers of wood glued together under high pressure and temperature, which gives the beams a homogeneous structure and resistance to deformation. The impregnation process additionally protects the wood from moisture, fungi and insects, which is key to maintaining the mechanical properties of the beam for a long time.
- Each beam is also painted with a special abrasion- and weather-resistant paint, which provides an aesthetically pleasing appearance and an additional layer of protection. The paint used to paint the beams is low-VOC and water-based, which minimizes its impact on air quality.
- A strip and plasticine attached to the beam are used to precisely mark the reflection area. The strip is made of durable material that is resistant to mechanical damage, while the plasticine allows the footprints of the athlete's shoes to be recorded, enabling judges to accurately assess the correctness of the jump. The system complies with international standards and regulations, making our beams suitable for use at competitions of any rank, from local tournaments to international championships.
